The first-ever “Raisin Fair” was held in the Qushrabot district, attended by Adiz Boboev who is the acting governor of Samarkand region, representatives of a number of organizations and departments, foreign and local tourists, media and the general public.

Agricultural exhibitions, conferences and forums on raisin cultivation were organized as part of the fair. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the fair, the head of the region Adiz Boboev told about the quality of Samarkand raisins, the preservation of the gardening traditions of our people, the cultivation of high-yielding, raisin-producing grape varieties, improving the irrigation system of vineyards, and further improving the living conditions of the population. As noted at the event, last year, gardeners of our region harvested 663 thousand tons of grapes, and this year this figure is expected to reach 700 thousand tons. In the first half of the year, our region exported 2 thousand tons of grapes and 34.2 thousand tons of raisins. Today, grapes are grown on more than 7 thousand hectares of land in the Kushrabot district of the homestead and farmer farms. Every year, 50-55 thousand tons of crops are harvested from these gardens and vineyards, most of which are made into raisins. Minister of Justice Akbar Tashkulov also participated in the “ Raisin Festival ” festival and presented documents to the head of the region Adiz Boboev on the state registration of “The raisin of Samarkand ” as a geographical indication, and to the mayor of the Kushrabot district on the state registration of “Raisin of Kushrabot” as a trademark.

Farmers, and representatives of homestead farms from the districts who actively participated in the “Raisin Festival-2025” festival were awarded certificates of gratitude from the regional governor in various nominations.
