


A number of important meetings and negotiations are being held as part of the visit of the delegation led by Adiz Boboev the governor of Samarkand region to Malaysia.
These talks are significant in that they are aimed at further expanding tourism and cultural ties. In particular, productive meetings were held with representatives of the tourism associations “BUMITRA”, “PAPUH”, “SAFTTA”, “BARAKAH UMHAJ”, “WITEX”, “KURMA” and “MATA”. The negotiations discussed in detail the issues of exchanging experience, improving the quality of tourist services, and increasing the flow of foreign tourists to Samarkand. The prospects for establishing direct flights on the “Kuala Lumpur – Samarkand” route were also discussed with representatives of the “Airnett” airline. This initiative is expected to strengthen transport ties between the two countries and further increase tourism potential. This visit is an important step in increasing the flow of tourists to Samarkand and presenting it as an attractive region for Malaysian investments and pilgrimage tourism.
