Adiz Boboev, the governor of Samarkand region, held a meeting with Abdulrauf Al Rahmon who is the chairman of the board of the Combined Group Contracting Company.

The issues of building modern infrastructure facilities in the region, road construction, modernization of engineering and communication networks, and implementation of promising projects in the construction sector were discussed. Detailed information was also provided about the economic potential of the Samarkand region, favorable conditions created for investors, and projects with foreign capital. Abdulrauf Al Rahmon expressed particular interest in the construction of housing and shopping complexes in the “Shirin” town of Samarkand. The parties considered the possibilities of expanding cooperation in the areas of transport, logistics, industry and infrastructure. The company representatives positively assessed the reforms and investment climate being carried out in the region and expressed their readiness to implement mutually beneficial projects. At the end of the negotiations, an agreement was reached to develop specific projects in the construction and infrastructure sectors and to consistently continue cooperation in the future.
