Adiz Boboev, a head of the region, held a meeting with Kanokpan Lao-Arayey, the director of the Asian Development Bank Office in Uzbekistan at the administration of the region.
As previously reported, the bank is actively supporting the modernization of the preschool education system in Uzbekistan. In particular, a large-scale project is being implemented in the Samarkand region to build, reconstruct and commission about 100 kindergartens on the basis of a public-private partnership (PPP). It was noted at the meeting that ADB experts had studied the neighborhoods of the region. According to the results of the study, there was a need to build 37 new preschool educational institution buildings on the basis of a PPP. It is also planned to renovate the buildings of 49 existing preschool educational institutions and overhaul 66 others. Currently, determining specific locations for future construction projects is a priority, which will allow announcing an international tender in order to attract foreign investors. Regional Adiz Boboev, the governor of the region, expressed his readiness to provide all-round assistance to the implementation of this socially significant project. The parties agreed to further improve practical cooperation.
