The central park named after Alisher Navoi in Samarkand was crowded with representatives of state and public organizations, professors, teachers, writers, poets, students and pupils from the morning.

An event was held at the monument to the great thinker in the center of the park to mark the 585th anniversary of his birth. It discussed Navoi's life, rich cultural heritage, and his role in educating young people today. It was noted that the works of Hazrat Navoi have become an invaluable spiritual heritage of the peoples of the world, and this date is celebrated not only in our country, but also in different countries of the world. Samples of Hazrat's ghazals and rubaiyats were read. The participants of the event laid wreaths at the monument to Alisher Navoi. The event was attended by deputy governor of the region Rustam Kobilov.
