


As previously reported, the delegation of Samarkand region, consisting of representatives of the regional administration and the healthcare sector, is currently in the United States of America, holding meetings and negotiations aimed at identifying new areas of mutually beneficial cooperation.
As part of the visit, the delegation also visited the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the United States and met with Furkat Sidikov who is the ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the United States of America. At the meeting, they exchanged views on the possibilities of further expanding inter regional cooperation in the field of healthcare, effectively using the knowledge and experience of compatriots abroad, and implementing new initiatives and projects. The talks noted the consistent development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United States, and the emergence of new opportunities in the areas of healthcare, education, innovation, and modern technologies. In particular, directing the potential of compatriots living abroad to the development of the Motherland, involving their experience and capabilities in the development of the regions was noted as one of the important tasks.The Samarkand regional delegation also held a meeting with representatives of the Islamic Relief USA organization and Project C.U.R.E. project. The meeting discussed issues of providing regional medical institutions with modern medical equipment and necessary tools, expanding the scope of humanitarian medical assistance, and taking existing cooperation to a new level.
