The delegation led by Rahmat Gobel, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Republic of Indonesia, concluded his visit to our country with a visit to ancient Samarkand.

The guests were met at the Samarkand railway station by the governor of the region E. Turdimov.  During the brief dialogue, the parties exchanged views.

After that, the Indonesians visited the holy shrines of Samarkand.  Naturally, their first place of pilgrimage was the mausoleum of the great muhaddith, Imam Bukhari, who received special attention and recognition in the Islamic world.  During the visit, the guests got acquainted with the huge creative work being carried out in the region at the initiative of the head of our state.  The delegation also visited the Imam Bukhari Research Center and the museum dedicated to the life and work of the great scholar.  The guests also liked the information about the activities of the center and the research carried out.

During the visit, the Indonesian politicians also visited the mausoleum of Amir Temur and got acquainted with the sources on the state structure and administration of the great commander.  The visit of the delegation to Samarkand ended with a tour of the majestic Registan Square.

Unique samples of our rich cultural heritage left an unforgettable impression on the guests.
