Adiz Boboev, the governor of the region, met with the leadership of the Imam Moturidiy International Scientific and Research Center under the cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and discussed proposals for the development of the complex.
During the conversation, proposals were put forward to name the new mosque “Imam of Guidance”, to establish an open-air museum based on historical stone monuments found in the Chokardiza area, to create expositions reflecting information about the great scholars buried in the ancient cemetery, as well as the wise words of Imam Moturidiy and other great thinkers. Special attention was also paid to enriching the scientific content of the innovative museum being built here. The center's specialists expressed their readiness to provide practical assistance in introducing unique manuscripts, historical and scientific sources into the exposition, and enriching the museum in terms of content. New initiatives will serve to transform the complex not only into a place of pilgrimage, but also into a modern center that combines science, education, and enlightenment. This will play an important role in preserving and widely promoting the rich spiritual and scientific heritage of Samarkand. At the end of the meeting, priority areas for the development of the complex were identified and agreements were reached on future cooperation.
