


Laziz Kudratov, who is Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade, and Adiz Boboev, the governor of Samarkand region, held a meeting with Robert Wexler, a member of the GULF Board as part of the Tashkent International Investment Forum.
During the negotiations, the parties considered issues of trade in petroleum products, expansion of the network of modern gas stations, as well as implementation of promising investment projects in the Samarkand region. It is noted that GULF is an international oil and gas brand founded in the USA, which currently operates mainly in the field of refining and selling petroleum products. The company is engaged in the production of motor and industrial oils, supply of autochemical products, and development of a network of gas stations. The meeting also discussed the progress of the project to create a network of gas stations in Uzbekistan under the GULF brand. In the initial stage of the project, worth a total of $250 million, 6 branches have been privatized, most of which are located in Samarkand. It is also planned to privatize, modernize and bring another 32 branches into line with international standards by the end of the year. At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to expand and further develop investment cooperation.
