At the initiative of the Accounts Chamber of the Republic of Uzbekistan, an expanded seminar on improving the state audit and financial control system was held in the Samarkand region.

Responsible employees of social institutions and budgetary organizations participated in it. The seminar discussed the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF-252 dated December 18, 2025, and it was noted that in accordance with this decree, from April 1, 2026, the activities of the representative of the Accounts Chamber - the Inspector General, have been established in the republican and local executive bodies, and A. Salomov has been appointed to this position. This institution serves to prevent violations of budget legislation, ensure transparency of public procurement, control the use of external loans and grants, and identify corruption risks. Also, information was provided on the implementation of digital technologies and artificial intelligence solutions in the activities of the Accounts Chamber, in particular, the capabilities of the “Remote Audit” information system. It was noted that through this system, a large part of the audit processes are carried out remotely, increasing the efficiency of control. During the seminar, the activities of the “Situational Center” in the Samarkand Regional Department of Economics and Finance, its importance in early identification of risks and strengthening preventive measures, were noted. At the end of the seminar, the participants were given specific tasks to strengthen budget discipline and prevent violations, and the responsible officials provided detailed answers to their questions.
