Today is the day of Samarkand city that’s to say on October 18
The festive events organized in connection with the Day of Samarkand began with a visit to the mausoleum of Sahibkiron Amir Temur in early morning.
The Qur'an has been recited to the souls of our great ancestors.
After that, flowers were placed at the base of the statue of Sahibqiron Amir Temur by representatives of regional and city governments, military, law enforcement agencies and the general public.
In connection with the date, holiday events continue in all corners of Samarkand city.
