64 honorary seniors were awarded with the “Veteran of Labor” badge of the first, second and third degrees in the government of Samarkand region.

Officials of the republic and region, representatives of the general public took part in the solemn event.

Those who spoke at it noted that the state is paying attention to the comprehensive support of the elderly in our country, further raising their standard of living and social activity. The statute on the establishment of the badge named “Veteran of Labor”  was signed by  Shavkat Mirziyoyev the President of Uzbekistan in 2016. This badge is awarded to citizens who have worked honestly and efficiently for many years in various aspects of the country's social and cultural life.
