Adiz Boboev, the governor of Samarkand region,  organized a meeting with a delegation led by Katya Schefer, an urban development expert from the United Nations Human Settlements Program (UN-Habitat).

During the meeting, issues of sustainable development of the region, master plan development and expansion of cooperation in the field of urbanization were discussed. Particular attention was paid to a systematic approach to territorial planning, effective management of urban development processes, and the formation of a modern urban environment. The parties also considered priority areas of mutual cooperation. In particular, the issues of using ecological solutions in construction, infrastructure development, and international exchange of experience in urban management were discussed. It was agreed to continue dialogue and develop cooperation in the established areas at the end of the meeting.
