A meeting between the governor of Samarkand region, Adiz Boboev, and the general director of the Austrian company “Lasselsberger Group”, Josef Lasselsberger, was held within the framework of the Fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum.

During the conversation, the current status and prospects of the investment project being implemented in Nurabad district of the region were discussed. As part of the project, it is planned to establish the production of microcalcite, ceramic granite and terrazzo tiles on an area of 40 hectares, which will play an important role in the development of the industry of the region. It was noted that this initiative will serve to expand the production of modern building materials, create new jobs, increase the level of localization and strengthen export potential. At the meeting, it was noted that creating a favorable and stable business environment for foreign investors in the Samarkand region is a priority task. The head of the region noted the importance of the project being implemented by the Lasselsberger Group and expressed his readiness to provide comprehensive support in implementing its next stages. At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to further develop cooperation in expanding production capacities, launching the production of new types of products, and attracting additional investments.
