Afruza Khamdamova was awarded the State Prize called “Zulfiya”  by the decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

After returning from the World Championship in Montenegro, Afruza was solemnly awarded the award by Deputy Prime Minister Zulaykho Mahkamova at an event held at the International Chess Academy. The event was attended by Minister of Sports Adkham Ikramov, Head of the Youth Affairs Agency Alisher Sa’dullayev, and representatives of the Chess Federation and journalists. Afruza thanked the President and promised to continue to hold the country’s flag high in international arenas.
