On April 21, a business forum with participation of entrepreneurs from Samarkand region of Uzbekistan and Sughd region of Tajikistan will be held in Samarkand.

According to the information, in 2017, products worth 9 million 533 thousand dollars were exported from Samarkand region to the neighboring state. As expected, this year this figure will increase several times. About 20 business entities from Samarkand region took part in the exhibition of Uzbekistan products, organized within the framework of the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Tajikistan, agreements on cooperation were concluded.

Within the framework of the event, businessmen of Sughd region will get acquainted with activities of large industrial enterprises and farms in Samarkand region, visit historical and cultural monuments and sights of the city.

In addition, it is planned to organize a concert with participation of artists of both countries, a friendly match between the football clubs Dinamo of Samarkand region and Khujand of Sughd region, as well as a number of other events.
